Welcome to Splinde. This is your starting point. In the next two minutes, you will understand how your workspace is organized and how to bring your existing budgets into Splinde — without rebuilding anything from scratch.

What You See When You Log In

When you open Splinde for the first time, you land in your workspace. This is your home base. It shows all your budgets in a clean list view with the information you need at a glance:

Project name — the name of the production
Client — who the budget is for
Start and end date — the production timeline
Last edited — when someone last made a change

No clutter, no complex dashboards. Just the overview a production manager needs to stay on top of active projects.

How to Create Your First Budget

Creating a budget takes three steps:

Click New Budget in your workspace.
Choose a template. Splinde ships with industry-standard templates including AICP, FFA, BBC, Netflix, Disney, SCoPE, and more. Pick the one that matches your production standard.
Give your budget a project name and client name. Hit create.

That is it. You are now looking at a professional budget structure with sections, subsections, and line items — ready to fill in.

Already Have Budgets in Excel?

You do not have to start over. Splinde offers a free budget import service. Here is how it works:

Reply to the welcome email you received
Attach your existing budget file (Excel, Google Sheets export, or any spreadsheet format).
The Splinde team imports it into your workspace — including your structure, line items, and numbers.

Your imported budget appears alongside any new budgets you create. Same workspace, same overview, same workflow.

This service is free for all trial and paid users.
