The Origin Story

It started with a broken formula.

For decades, the most creative industry in the world has been run on the least creative tool. We are on a mission to rescue filmmaking from the spreadsheet era and bring the magic back to the process.

Splinde wasn't born in a boardroom; it was born in production.

Our founder, Joshua Metschulat, spent years building the complex Excel frameworks that over 300 production houses rely on today. He pushed spreadsheets to their absolute limit. But he hit a wall.

He realized that no matter how good the template was, it was still just a grid. It couldn't talk to other departments. It couldn't handle real-time collaboration. It couldn't ensure compliance.

The industry didn't need a better spreadsheet. It needed a new operating system.
