An Offer Document is the client-facing page that lives right beside a budget, reading its numbers live. It's how you turn a budget into something you can actually send someone, without re-typing numbers into a separate proposal.
What it's for
A budget in Splinde is a working tool: rows, references, internal structure. A client doesn't want to see that, they want a clean cost overview or a detailed line-item breakdown that looks intentional. An Offer Document gives you that page, built from Budget Blocks that read the budget's numbers directly, so the document always matches the underlying figures.
How it works
Open the document pane from the chevron at the right edge of the budget editor. Each budget has one Offer Document, which reads that budget's numbers.
Build the page by dragging Text Blocks, Images, Page Breaks and Budget Blocks in from the Insert sidebar. Headers and footers sit in three columns each, above and below the page, and repeat on every page of the export, useful for a logo, a client name or a page number that shouldn't have to be re-added by hand.
Typography, colour and formatting for headings and body text are set once, in the document's Design tab, and apply across the whole document consistently.
Because the Budget Blocks read the budget live, a change to a Cost Item's rate or a Scenario's totals shows up in the document automatically, with nothing to update by hand.
Download PDF, in the top-right of the document pane, exports the document as a file named after the budget.
Good to know
The document is laid out on an A4 page, and headers and footers repeat on every page of the export.
