Data and sign-in

Where is our budget data stored, and is Splinde GDPR compliant?

Where is our budget data stored, and is Splinde GDPR compliant?

Splinde is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Frankfurt, Germany, and is GDPR compliant. Your budgets, Offer Documents and team data are stored in the EU.

That is the answer most client and agency questionnaires ask for: an EU data location and GDPR compliance.

What this covers

Everything you work with in Splinde is stored in the Frankfurt region: your workspace, Projects, budgets with Main and every Scenario, Offer Documents, Budget Templates, Labels and your team's accounts.

Who sees your budgets

Data protection is also about access inside your company. Splinde gives you two levels of control:

  • The workspace. Only people you invite into your workspace see its content.

  • Projects. A budget inside a Project is visible only to that Project's members. Use this to keep freelancers and partners to the jobs they work on.

Roles add a third layer. Editors build and price budgets. Admins also manage the team and billing.

For your data-protection paperwork

If your client, agency or legal team needs documentation for their records, such as a data processing agreement (AVV), write to help@splinde.io with what they asked for.

Good to know

  • Sign-in with Google brings Google's account protection, including two-step verification if you have it switched on.

  • When someone leaves the team, remove them from the workspace and their access ends at once, while their work stays.

  • Closing your account deletes your account data with it.
