Yes. The budget has one Budget Currency that every subtotal and total is expressed in, and any line can be entered in the currency it is actually billed in. Splinde converts those lines into the budget currency, so the grand total your client reads is a single number.
Set the budget's currency, then the lines
Open the sidebar Info tab. The first row of the currency block is Budget Currency.
Click it and pick the currency your offer goes out in. The picker searches on code or name. A new budget starts in Euro.
On a line that is billed abroad, click the small currency badge at the right edge of the Fee field and pick that currency. Hovering the badge shows the currency's full name.
Type the foreign amount into Fee as it appears on the supplier's quote. Enter it as quoted, and Splinde does the conversion.
The line shows its own amount plus a small grey bubble with what it contributes in the budget currency. Every Section subtotal and the budget total are in the budget currency.
Check which rate is being used
Under Budget Currency sits Conversion Currencies, one row per foreign currency in the budget. Each currency a Cost Item uses appears there with a live rate to four decimal places, and a line beneath the list says which day the live data came from. Read through the rows once so you know the rate behind each foreign line.
If the rate is contractually fixed with your service production, switch that row to manual and type the agreed figure. The steps are in I fixed a rate with the service production. Will a live rate override it?.
See the split by currency
Open the Sections tab, then Smart Subtotals, then the Currencies block: Sums of used Currencies in this Budget. Each row shows a currency, its share of the budget total and the money value in that currency's own terms. A cost controller reads the exposure per currency at a glance.
Good to know
Live rates are a daily snapshot. For a long bid, fix the rate yourself with a manual row.
On a Currencies row, the percentage is that currency's share of the budget total, and the money value beside it is the original figure in its own currency. The two together show where your spend sits.
To add a currency to the Conversion Currencies list yourself, click the
