We run two companies. How do I keep their jobs apart?

Keep each company's jobs in their own Projects. A budget inside a Project is visible only to that Project's members, so the people at one company never see the other company's numbers.

If you need fully separate workspaces, each with its own team, Labels and Budget Templates, that is part of the Enterprise plan. Write to sales@splinde.io and the team will set it up with you.

Separate the companies with Projects

  1. In Projects, click Add Project and create one Project per job, named so the company is clear at a glance, for example with a prefix.

  2. In each Project, tick only the people who work for that company.

  3. Create each budget inside its Project.

Each team now sees only its own Projects and budgets. You see both, because you are a member of both sets of Projects.

What is shared and what is separate

  • Separate per Project: the budgets, who can open them, and the Project details such as Client and Agency.

  • Shared across the workspace: Labels, units and Budget Templates. Name them so both companies can use them, or keep a template per company.

When you need two workspaces

The Add Workspace item in the workspace menu opens the details of the Enterprise plan. Enterprise brings several workspaces together with unlimited users, custom billing, custom invoicing and a customer success manager. Contact sales@splinde.io to talk it through.

Good to know

  • You can belong to several workspaces when other companies invite you. You move between them with the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar.

  • A Project member list is managed by the Project's owners, so ask an owner to add a colleague who needs access.
