Remove someone from the Team panel in Settings. Their access ends straight away, every budget they worked on stays in the workspace, and their seat is free for the next person.
Removing members is done by a workspace Admin.
Remove a member
Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar and open Settings.
Under Administration, open Team.
Find the person under Active and open the menu at the end of their row.
Choose Remove User.
The change takes effect immediately, so pick the row with care.
What happens to their work
Budgets stay. Everything the person created or edited remains in the workspace, in the same Projects, for the rest of the team.
The seat is free. You can invite the next freelancer straight away.
A return is easy. If you invite the same person back later, the Projects they belonged to are ready for them again.
Change a role instead
If someone should keep working but with fewer or more rights, change their role instead of removing them. In the same row menu, Promote to Admin makes an Editor an Admin. To move an Admin back to Editor, use the role option in the same menu.
Good to know
A workspace always keeps one Admin. Before the last Admin steps away, promote someone else to Admin.
To take someone off a single job but keep them in the workspace, remove them from that Project's member list instead. A Project owner does that on the Project page.
Pending invitations show under Invited. They count as seats until the person answers.
