Your Budgets, Finally Organized

If you've ever managed more than a handful of budgets in Splinde, you know the feeling: everything lives in one long, flat list, and there's no good way to say "these three belong together" — let alone control who gets to see them. That changes today. Say hello to Projects.

Group Your Budgets Into Projects

You can now create a Project and gather every budget that belongs to it in one place — a client, a show, a campaign, whatever makes sense for how you work. Instead of hunting through one giant list, you open the Project and see exactly the budgets that matter for it, with nothing else in the way. It's a small change that makes a big difference the moment you're juggling more than one production at a time.

Control Who Sees What

Not everyone on your team needs to see everything. With Projects, you decide exactly who's in the room. Invite specific people as Members so they can view and work on a Project's budgets, and keep everyone else out — automatically, everywhere, from lists to search to direct links. As the person who created a Project, you're its Owner, which means you can manage who's invited and shut the Project down when it's no longer needed. It's the access control Splinde has been missing, and it's built right in.

A Command Center for Every Project

The new All Projects view is where you'll live day to day. Every Project shows its status, client, owner, and team at a glance, with avatars so you know exactly who's involved. Click a column header to sort by whatever matters right now — newest, alphabetical, by client. Rename a Project, duplicate one to kick off something similar, or update its status without ever leaving the list. And when you need to move a budget from one Project to another, that's just as easy — Owners can reassign it in a couple of clicks.

Improvements & Fixes

• Owner, Member, and Status menus now close properly when you click away, and dropdowns always open lined up neatly with what you clicked — no more menus popping up in the wrong place.

• Project member menus no longer get cut off at the edge of the table.

• The budget table on a Project's page now reliably shows totals and status for every variant, and the Approved variant stands out clearly from the rest.

• Project descriptions are now editable right from the Project page.

• Fixed an error that could prevent importing a budget from a JSON file.

• Cleaned up leftover elements from the old budget list, along with a handful of small visual fixes to table headers, icons, and spacing across the new Projects view.
